How much pressure do I expect from Thai Massage?

The pressure can be varied according to your preference. Less pressure should be used the first time, while more pressure can be applied as your body can tolerate deeper work. Always feel free to request the level of pressure that feels right for you. Be sure to tell your therapist about any pain or specific problem areas that you would like help with.

What should I expect during my visit?

Unlike western massage style, Thai Massage is performed on a padded mat on the floor, but can also be done on extra-wide massage table like we do, with the clients fully clothed. This allow the therapist to get the body leverage necessary for the stretches and posters characteristically used in Thai Massage. The client does not need to disrobe completely for a Thai Massage as the therapists can work right through light clothing like yoga-wear.  The client remains completely clothed with our loose-fitting Thai attire throughout the session to maximize movement and no oil is used.

How to get the most from your Thai Massage?

  • Be as open to the process as you can. You do not need to put in any real effort, you just need to relax and let the therapists do the rest.
  • Relax and try to let your thoughts go. One way to do this is to focus on how the touch or technique feels.
  • Remember to breath, as this helps you relax. Sometimes people hold their breath when a sensitive area is massaged, but it is the best to breath through it. In the same way, tightening your muscles during the massage is counterproductive. If you can't seem to relax your muscles, let your therapists know, so the different techniques may be used or customized.

What should you do after your massage?

After a Thai massage, you should drink plenty of water or hot tea to help with detoxification. You may feel some soreness or discomfort for the first 24 hours, especially in the areas where you have had problems. After that, you should feel relaxed & refreshed.

What if I am late?

Please arrive at least 10 mins before your appointment time. Our goal is to provide the most flexible, reasonable and fair business practices. If you arrive late, you will receive a full session if there is no appointment scheduled immediately after your scheduled time. However, if another session is scheduled to start immediately after your massage, we will unfortunately have to cut short your massage. We will always attempt to give you full allotted time.

Your appointment is very important to us and other clients. If you are unable to attend an appointment, you can simply reschedule or cancel it online 3-4 hours prior to your appointments.  Your early cancellation will give another person the possibility to book an appointment with us.

What does Thai Massage feel like?

Traditional Thai Massage is more precise & energizing than any other forms of traditional massages. A complete Thai Massage incorporates a traditional combination of acupressure, energy meridian work & yoga-like stretching. Acupressure is achieved through the use of therapists' s hands, palms, thumps, elbows, forearms, knees and feet to move you into series of yoga-like stretching. All you have to do is just lie back & breath deeply as the Thai Music sooth you and your muscles are stretched and relieved of tension.

By using this combination the therapist manipulates, adjust & stretch your muscles to provide the firmed massage experience and when muscles and connected tissues are deeply stretched, you will feel truly relaxed & released, your energy pathways are cleared of blockages, joints are mobilized & improving circulation, finally leaving you feeling light, opened and energized. People describe Thai Massage as both relaxing & energizing.
